Here is another ‘drive by’ photography shot, which was just pointing the camera at the other cars on the road. I love this shot!
An activity that I used to do a lot, was to take pictures while just driving around — no particular subject or aim, just shoot. I called it ‘drive by’ photography. I’ve gotten some rather good “accidental” shots from this “method” of shooting. Especially at night, as shown by this example during the 2007 Christmas season.
I believe I was driving through Ellendale, Delaware, when I saw (from a distance) a house with the usual Christmas lights around the roof and some fun yard decorations. So I pointed my camera and guessed at a good time to “pull the trigger”.
Voila! Looks pretty friggin’ cool!
One of my favorite shots overall. A night light, up in Kennett Square, PA during a Longwood Gardens trip back in 2007. Someday I might blow up this shot and put it on a wall, now to just illuminate it..
